FAQs

These FAQs will help streamline the wedding photography editing services.

General (back to top)

Q.
What is EditTeam?
A.
EditTeam is primarily a unique, custom-tailored, post-production image editing service for professional wedding photographers. We are unique in the fact that we take an individualize role by adapting to the needs of our clients, rather than having our clients adapt to us. Currently, our offerings consist of image editing services, album design services, and crystal gallery images.

Q.
Who are EditTeam's services designed for?
A.
Our services are designed for professional wedding photographers who need an image editing solution in order to save money, time, and/or their sanity. Most of our clients are full-time professional photographers who have been operating for at least one year. Some have their own studios; others work out of their home.

Q.
If I am not a professional wedding photographer, can I use EditTeam's services?
A.
Of course! Maybe you are just starting out. Maybe you only shoot a handful of weddings a year. Maybe you don't shoot weddings at all. Maybe you are an amateur photographer. Whatever the case may be, we can help. You may be interested in our services for less than 200 images »

Capturing Images (back to top)

Q.
How should I capture my images for the best possible results with EditTeam?
A.
We will always do our best with whatever quality and size images that you provide for us, but we can't ALWAYS perform miracles. Here are a few simple things you can do to help us help you: Capture your photos with a professional digital SLR camera of any brand (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, Fujifilm, etc.) Capture your photos in your camera's native "RAW" format at the largest file size (.RAW, .CRW, .CR2, .NEF, .DNG, etc.) Set your camera to "Auto-rotate" your images Synchronize the time and date of all of the cameras that you, your second-shooters, and your assistants are using BEFORE you start shooting.

Q.
Will EditTeam process files from more than one photographer?
A.
Yes! Provided that it is from the same event, we will process files from an unlimited number of photographers and cameras. We only cap the event submission at 3200 images if you want us to make the "first cut" for you, or at 800 images if you have already made the "first cut." If these numbers don't suit your needs, then we can certainly set something up for you that works better with your workflow.

Q.
Will EditTeam accept other image formats besides RAW?
A.
Yes! We will accept almost any image format, including .JPG, but we will be able to do more with RAW images than with any other format.

Q.
What if I send EditTeam a mix of RAW and JPG files?
A.
We can work with that! We would prefer that all of the images were sent to us in a native format, but we certainly won't reject your JPGs!

Q.
I prefer to convert my RAW images into the Digital Negative (.DNG) standard. Can you work with these files?
A.
Yes! We can work with .DNG files just like RAW files and we can achieve similar results.

Setting Up Your EditTeam Account (back to top)

Q.
Why isn't the account setup process automated?
A.
There are certain things in your setup process that are better taken care of via phone, email, or chat with one of our service representatives. We want to hear what your individual needs and requirements are. Plus, we really want to hear your voice.

Q.
Why do I need a questionnaire and an interview before my account is setup? What's a profile?
A.
This is how we get to know you. Before we create your account, we need to know what your needs are. Remember, we are your EditTeam!

Q.
How do you bill me? Is my credit card information kept on file?
A.
We will collect your credit card information when we set up your account. Your information will be stored securely. Upon completion of each event we edit for you, your images will be sent out to you immediately. At the same time, you will be invoiced and your credit card will be charged.

Q.
Is there a contract that I need to sign?
A.
When your account is set up, you must agree to the service agreement on our website. The only commitment we ask for is from our Subscription Service members, but only after August 1st, 2008.

Q.
Do you work with clients outside of the USA?
A.
Yes! We work with clients all over the world. We currently have an 11-day turnaround commitment (including shipping time) for clients in the Continental USA. We also include the cost of FedEx Express 2-day shipping BOTH WAYS within the Continental USA. The time standards and shipping costs would be adjusted accordingly for clients in other countries.

Sending Us Your Images (back to top)

Q.
How do I send my images to EditTeam?
A.
Send your images on a hard drive, on DVDs, or through FTP (if you have less than 800 images for us)!

Q.
Do you offer FTP service?
A.
Yes! If you are sending us 800 or less images, you may use our FTP service.

Q.
I want to make the "first cut" myself and choose my own images for EditTeam to edit, can I still use your services?
A.
Of course! As a matter of fact, we offer choices for both options. We want to work with your current workflow. So, whatever works for you, works for us!

Editing Services (back to top)

Q.
What do your image editing services include?
A.
Even our Basic Image Editing Service includes FedEx shipping both ways, 25 instant JPGs within the first few days, sorting, renumbering, color and exposure correction, and as many artistic/creative edits as you want.

Q.
What do you mean by "as many artistic/creative edits as I want"?
A.
Every photographer has a different style and we want to match your unique "look." Maybe you are more of a realist who only wants your images corrected for color and exposure. Maybe you want EVERY image to be artistically edited. Most photographers' preferences are somewhere in the middle, but whatever your preference, we want to match your individual style by giving you as many (or as few) artistic/creative edits as you want!

Q.
How long do my images stay in your system?
A.
A copy of the images from your event stay on our mirrored RAID (RAID 1) system for approximately 30 days, which is enough time for you to be sure that you have received everything OK. If you choose to use our storage and retrieval service, your images for each event will be kept on our system for one year. You may choose to renew for additional years of storage at any time.

Service Guarantees (back to top)

Q.
Is there a money back guarantee?
A.
Yes! We will try our best, but if we are unable to meet your standards, we will gladly re-edit any images you would like at no charge - twice! And if for some reason we still can't nail it, we will happily refund 100% of your money back to you.

Q.
What is your turnaround time?
A.
Our turnaround time for our image editing services, album design services, and crystal gallery images is 11 days each (INCLUDING shipping time), from the moment it leaves your hands until it returns to you. If you are combining our editing service with our album design service, then the turnaround time is doubled to 22 days.

Q.
Do you offer rush service?
A.
Great editing can't be rushed. Because of the individualized nature of our service, we may need a few days to edit each event. Remember, you will receive 25 instant images within the first few days of editing. We treat every event with equal importance while maintaining our 11-day service commitment, which is currently the fastest turnaround time in the industry.

Q.
What are your other service commitments?
A.
We commit to providing you with the most individualized, custom level of post-production wedding editing service in the industry, while maintaining the highest level of quality and service. How's that?
